The Bird That Couldn’t

This was one of those mandatory “school assignment” poems I had to write.

The Bird That Couldn't

I have wings 
I can fly 
But I’m the bird that never sings 
I’m the bird afraid to fly 
I would love to reach the sky 
But I’m too afraid to even try
I have wings
I can fly
But why don’t I?
